Franklin Summer Fest is here

As an inveterate purveyor of fine foods and a self-confessed imbiber of delicate and delectable wines from all over the world 🍷 I am super excited to see that Franklin has its own version of a Food, Wine & Music Festival happening this coming Saturday 29th March 2020 at the Pukekohe Showgrounds on Station Road.

The gates open at 1:00pm and the programme looks really good, we have several up & coming NZ bands lined up to entertain – The RVMES, Burn the Bridges, The Dave Alley Band and Hot Diggity to name a few.

There will be all manner of home-grown delicious food accompanied by ‘a fine selection of wines, ciders and craft beers including Good George Brewing, Behemoth Brewing Company, Bohemian Cider, Hihi Wines, Volcanic Hills Winery, Te Rata at Free Range Wine Co. and Rannach Vineyard.’ Looking good so far.

There are restrictions on dogs, unless they are Guide Dogs, please leave your lovelies at home. The gates open to ticket holders 1.00pm – Early bird tickets if bought online are $29.00 otherwise entry at the gate is $35.00
Live music will play all afternoon until early evening so bring the blankie for laying about on while you enjoy the atmosphere and music

How exciting for the district, I always tell any city folk looking at buying into Franklin or Tuakau, that we country peeps are always busy busy, there is always something on of a weekend to entertain or enthrall.

I hope to get along to this festival this weekend, open homes permitting, if I do and you see me first, come and say ‘Hi’.
